After going down a rabbit hole I even tried installing and playing around with Logitech Control Centre before realising it's an unsupported and old device control software that I should not have even installed. Not that I expect that to solve the issue as I read lots of users are having problems with this. I installed the latest Logitech Options, and I do not have the 'smooth scrolling' option even available that I see on online forums some versions of LO seems to have. The Macbook touchpad, with the logitech mouse connected via bluetooth, continues to work perfectly in parallel to the mouse. It is an OS-wide problem, not specific to any one application or browser. At a minimum you could manually run a script. SpaceNavigator and SpaceMouse Wireless optional macOS Operating Systems. A Multiple-button mouse with a scroll wheel is recommended.

AMD graphics processor recommended on Intel Macs. It is not a delayed scrolling problem, suggesting the bluetooth connection itself is fine. That way both macOS and Windows in the virtual machine will function the same based on the mouse settings in macOS. 8 GB memory (RAM) or more is recommended. Printing: Works provided a printer is setup in VMWare. The scrolling using logitech mouse is horrible - not smooth, nor accelerating (elasticity). Mouse scrolling: The scroll bars in the Modify and View screens behave a bit oddly (but are usable) since VMWare is not locking the mouse cursor position on the scrollbar when the mouse button is pressed down. I'm a new user of logitech mouse 590 via bluetooth and had been using the macbook air's (2020) flawless touchpad until now. I've read up extensively on smooth scrolling on logi's own community pages as well as outside it and have not found any satisfactory answer to this problem.
